    Description

    Very nice 2003 Silver Proof One Pound Coin as issued by the Royal Mint.  Standard Catalog of World Coins # KM 993a.  Comes in the original Royal Mint capsule with a certificate of authenticity.  Mintage was limited to 25,000 pieces.  The coin is 22.5 mm in diameter and weighs 9.5 grams.  Struck in .925 (sterling) silver (per Krause this is .2825 oz. of actual silver weight).  The obverse features the Ian Rank-Broadley portrait of Queen Elizabeth II and the reverse features the Royal Arms.
